Meet David's Fulbrighter Consulting (DFC)
My mission is to serve others by providing expert consulting, workshops and application reviewing for those interested in earning a prestigious U.S. Fulbright grant. This includes Scholar, Specialist, Student and English Teaching Assistant (ETA) grants. For American and foreign applicants.

Fulbright Application Reviewing
I carefully read your application materials and offer an overview of general tips to improve the text as needed. I investigate spelling/grammar; overall flow and completeness (you are answering all the questions); blind spots (and how to correct them); the project proposal makes sense and is feasible; benefits to host and home country are clearly articulated, and vital cultural preparedness/intercultural competence is noted. Our collaboration will undoubtably give you a stronger application.

My "Best Practices" 90-minute Zoom workshop provides in-depth knowledge and preparation for the Fulbright application journey. I offer expert guidance to equip you with the necessary skills and insights to stand out as a Fulbright applicant. For Scholar and Specialist grants only. For all other Fulbright grants, general Zoom/phone consulting is available.
General Consulting
Via Zoom or Phone (hourly rate), this is an open-ended question-and-answer session regarding grant options, key application tips, teaching/researching abroad, experience sharing, overcoming difficulties abroad, intercultural competence, post-Fulbright life and whatever else needs to be addressed based on individual need.

I specialize in interview preparation, providing comprehensive support to help you excel in the Fulbright interview process. My expertise ensures that you are well-prepared and confident in showcasing your qualifications. This is a mock Fulbright interview followed by in-depth feedback via Zoom. Note, not all Fulbright applications require an interview.

I hold a PhD in Media Studies/Communication from the University of Oregon (2010); MA in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University (2023) and MA in Humanities (Media Studies and Sociology) from SUNY University at Buffalo (2001).

As a three time official Fulbright peer reviewer (Scholar grant), I know precisely why some applications move forward and many do not. I have considerable experience as a former Scholar and Specialist with knowledge to share about these rich experiences abroad.
